Follicular is a time to enhance your focus, and drive. This is the perfect time to practice box breathing, which is known to improve focus, heighten performance, and relieve stress. 

Breathing Exercise: Box Breathing

  • Inhale for a count of 5.
  • Hold the breath for a count of 5.
  • Exhale all the breath from the lungs for a count of 5.
  • Hold the breath for a count of 5.
  • Repeat.
  • Practice for 5-20 minutes.

That’s it! It’s quite simple, but can really make a difference in your performance levels. You may want to incorporate this practice once a day for 5-10 minutes and then for shorter lengths as situations arise throughout the day.
